When you want to get to the bottom of your symptoms

Far too many people are sent home with the message: “You’ll just have to learn to live with it.”
But that’s not good enough.

At the Copenhagen Center of Functional Medicine, we’re here to help when treating symptoms doesn’t work—and when the conventional medical system has run out of answers. We take a holistic approach and use functional medicine to identify the root cause of your symptoms.

We offer in-depth assessments and personalized programs that take into account diet, sleep, mental health, the microbiome, and lifestyle.

A holistic approach to your health

We meet many people who struggle with symptoms such as fatigue, skin problems, joint pain, and digestive issues—without finding answers in the public healthcare system. At CCFM, we take a different approach. We use advanced diagnostic tools such as microbiome tests, mold and mycotoxin analyses, stress profiles, and in-depth consultations to understand the full picture. We look at diet, environment, sleep, microplastics, mental stress, and everything that affects your body beneath the surface. Because your symptoms aren’t random—they’re signals. And our goal is to find the cause and create lasting recovery through a holistic approach.

We're here to help you every step of the way

Initial consultation

During your first consultation, we’ll review your medical history, conduct any necessary tests, and provide personalized recommendations on diet, lifestyle, sleep, exercise, and mental health—tailored specifically to you.

Personal Health Plan

After one month, we’ll follow up to review test results and assess your progress. We’ll adjust the plan and gradually reintroduce foods. Any new supplements or tests will be determined based on your needs.

Follow-up session

During your third consultation, we’ll review your progress, your reactions to certain foods, and what has worked for you. We’ll summarize the process and provide long-term recommendations for your diet, sleep, and lifestyle.

Ongoing adjustments

Optimizing your health takes time. We recommend annual consultations that include tests so we can track your progress, evaluate the impact of lifestyle changes, and adjust your recommendations as needed.

The Foundation of Health

Good health without medication or pills includes the following:

Diet:Diet and dietary supplements influence the microbiome and optimize countless bodily functions.  The microbiome refers to the collective ecosystem of microorganisms, primarily bacteria, that live in and on the human body. Therefore, it is crucial to eat organic foods, avoid pesticides and antibiotics, and eliminate individual toxic triggers in order to achieve and maintain good health.

Exercise: Dailyphysical activity is important for maintaining the body’s natural range of motion, strengthening bones and muscles, and positively influencing hormone balance.

Sleep: Sleep and circadian rhythms are often underestimated as factors contributing to good health. Maintaining regular bedtimes and getting enough REM and deep sleep contribute significantly to health and well-being.

Mental Health:New research has shown that mental health has a significant impact on our overall well-being. The gut-brain axis influences both our mental state and our gut microbiota, and therefore has a direct impact on our health. Activities such as yoga and meditation can also have a positive effect on longevity and well-being.

Environment: Ifyou are exposed to heavy metals, mold, asbestos, or other external factors, this can have a significant negative impact on your health. In addition, your social environment and life goals play a role in your well-being.

Client Testimonials

Ingrid M.

After a childhood and adolescence filled with all sorts of symptoms and illnesses, visits to and enrollment in various outpatient clinics, and so on, I’ve finally gotten the help I needed to hit the reset button and start over! Once you get used to the way things work here—fewer appointments and more personal responsibility—you can finally break through to a life with energy to spare. I’m really happy with my new habits; thank you for that 🙂

Lars H.

It’s wonderful to meet someone who focuses on treating the root causes rather than just treating the symptoms. They found mold toxins in my body that were causing frequent headaches; once the toxins were removed, the headaches went away—as long as I don’t expose myself to mold. I highly recommend CCFM. Thank you 🙂

Karim S.

I’ve been seeing Ulrik for three months and have had a thoroughly positive experience.

I came to Ulrik thinking I had a testosterone deficiency, but instead, he helped me optimize factors like sleep, diet, and exercise—changes that have made a significant difference in my life overall. I highly recommend him😊

Mark G.

Amazing! After being given up on by the healthcare system and on sick leave for several years—and after trying all kinds of treatments—there’s finally something that’s helping my stomach symptoms move in the right direction 🙂 I wish I’d known about the Copenhagen Center of Functional Medicine and started there years ago.
